Dr. Kennedy holds the position of an associate professor within the Kinesiology and Sport Management department at Texas A&M University. She also directs the Student-Fighter Project in partnership with the Robert Conte Foundation for Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders. This initiative has birthed a program rooted in the community, wherein her students impart motor skills to individuals grappling with Parkinson’s Disease (PD). We are back with another episode this week! In this week’s episode we do “bench to bedside” with Dr. Aaron Morton. He is an Assistant Professor in Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas A&M University and he studies neuromuscular diseases and biomaterials. He is currently serving as director of soft tissue regeneration in the applied biomaterials laboratory at Texas A&M. Today Dr. Morton is here to discuss what third generation biomaterials are and how he has been able to get a patent for his invention. We are back with another episode this week! In this week’s episode we do peaceful spaces with Ms. Lisette Templin. She is an instructional assistant professor at Texas A&M University. Ms. Templin works to help students safely transform the burden of stress through tools of meditation. Ms.Templin also works with Aggies Meditate, a collaborative effort between TAMU School of Medicine, School of Public Health, and TAMU Urban Farm United (TUFU). This program offers a class environment that welcomes students, staff, and faculty. Listen to Ms. Templin explain how she gained interest in meditation and how she helps her students relax in stressful times.
